Coach

Trudy Field continues to be the Head Coach of the Tri-Edge Skating Club, coordinating our group of coaches and volunteer Program Assistants at all three of the Tri-Edge Skating Club's locations. Trudy may be reached at trudyfield@gmail.com to discuss your particular skater's needs.

Trudy is a Certified Regional and Provincial Coach with Skate Canada.  She has been coaching for more than 25 years.  She has personally passed her Gold Skills, Gold Dances, and Junior Silver Free Skate.  She has helped skaters accomplish their Gold Dances and Gold Skills

Trudy's Coaching Philosophy:

I live for those ‘aha’ moments when a skater realizes that they have mastered a new skill or have understood a new concept. I really enjoy figuring out how a skater learns and how to help them progress. I realize that all skaters learn in different ways. Skating is not just about learning skating skills as it helps a person learn self-discipline and discover how learning works individually.
